What did Worldprofit do for members lately?

Instructor George Kosch Capt (Ret’d) MSc. Webmaster/Programmer/Co-Founder of Worldprofit maybe one of the hardest working techies known to the Internet.

He recently helped me with a problem I had procrastinated about even trying to get help with, but his best work can been seen by Silver /Platinum Dealers of Worldprofit the online home business experts who have been helping newbies and more experienced people for the past 17 years.

“Worldprofit: A Review of Developments in 2011 and Sneak Peak at Plans for 2012.”

The year 2011 has been an exciting one for both Worldprofit Members and Management. Early in 2011, we surpassed one million members who have joined the Worldprofit Home Business Network.

As the year winds down we review some of the services released this past year to our valued Members and also provide a sneak peak at what we are working on for 2012.

Over the past year our focus has been on providing Members with free and low-cost services to increase the value of the Worldprofit Membership. We understand well that the success of our Members requires ongoing support, specialized training, tested tools and up-to-date resources to help generate traffic, sales and income sources. Feedback from our Members has been that you want easy-to-use automated gizmos and gadgets to build traffic and proven strategies for making sales. In these tough economic times, you told us you wanted more ways to earn from home from trusted reputable sources.

To that end, in 2011 Worldprofit released a number of new Member services.

In February 2011, MoneyMakerSafelist.com was released – a new safelist for affiliate marketers around the world.

The Article Directory was built and grew to over 400 articles for the exclusive use of Worldprofit Members for use on their sites, blogs and other promotional purposes. Dr. Lant personally penned well over 365 articles, all available for Worldprofit members.

Creation and implementation of Article Publisher to provide Members with an automated way to add hundreds of articles to their websites saving them time and effort.

A new Content Management System was released in March 2011 to provide Members with an option for more integration of social media, more design flexibility, ability to feature products etc as well as integration of Google Analytics, site map and RSS feed.

The Credit Transfer area allowing Members to transfer their own Safelist credits to another Associate or Silver or Platinum VIP member

Mid summer, DragonSafelist.com was overhauled for more options, user friendliness and speed.

40 LIVE interactive bootcamp training sessions were held throughout the year – that’s over 80 hours of personalized instruction and assistance that our Members have enjoyed. This training is recorded for the convenience of Members not able to participate in the live sessions. This training is all hands on with desk top sharing so that members can learn by seeing as marketing expert George Kosch demonstrates step-by-step how to make money online. These sessions are popular as Members can ask questions live, interact with other members of the community. We learn from our Members during these training sessions as Member feedback helps us plan training, support and new product development.

Over the last year, Dr. Jeffrey Lant provided once weekly dealer sales training for 50 weeks to help Members achieve their sales goals. Dr. Lant’s tireless work ethic is tremendous as he works alongside our members in the Live Business Center every day providing assistance as needed.

The Worldprofit Monitor network continued to grow in 2011. Members step up to the challenge to learn how to make sales and help all members of the Worldprofit Home Business community in our 24 Hour Live Business Center. We cannot thank each of you enough for your contributions and dedication.

Continued additions were made to the PLR Store and also to the Money Makers program. Our goal is to provide members with multiple streams of income and additions are made with hot selling products.

The Amazon Store Front was added to list of options that Members can install on their website adding jus one more way to earn income from their site.

CPanel hosting accounts and WordPress Blog hosting services were added to accommodate the request by Members.

Worldprofit’s suite of webcast services including the Instant meeting Center and Instant Seminar system were all overhauled to increase video and audio quality as well as speed. Also included easier method of loading videos to YouTube and other video sharing sites.

The Live Face Chat Application was added. This tool allows Members to integrate into their site, and landing pages, a LIVE CHAT window. Site owners can then chat on video directly and immediately to their site visitors. The tool is “easy-to use, instant, and puts a FACE on your online business activities, literally, as YOU the site owner’s video image appears on the site in real time.

Late in 2011, the Dealer Lounge was created for informal discussions and to facilitate assistance among members of our Worldprofit home business community.

The Personal Live Business Center (PLBC) was released. This is a mini version of Worldprofit’s Live Business Center to allow members to use the power of this technology to host their own Live Business Center and promote any and all of their own affiliate marketing programs.

The Home Business Bootcamp online training was expanded to over 50 lessons and still growing. Topics cover basic to advanced training on marketing, online sales, social media, software, traffic generation, article marketing, blogging, backlinking, Clickbank sales, affiliate marketing, and more advanced topics including SEO.

We worked hard to expand the Member profile area to incorporate more social media links, photos etc.

More landing pages were added so Members had more access to advertising aids.

The Solo Email Blaster was integrated into the Member area and is proving very popular among both paid and free Associate Members.

In December 2011, Worldprofit released the new Safelist Exchange service which allows non-techies to own their own Safelist Exchange and profit from online advertising revenue. A sneak peak at our plans for 2012.

Our goal continues to be one of providing as many effective and easy to use tools as possible for our Members. We are developing one-click solutions for traffic and lead generation.

- Landing Page / Splash Page Builder is on the drawing board so that members can easily create their own Landing pages without being a techie.

- SEO service. We are in talks with a number of companies as we seek out a reputable SEO service for our Members.

- Development of new Design templates and enhancements to current content management system.

- Continued upgrade and enhancements to the Worldprofit member area for ease of use and navigation.

- Development of an IPhone app

- Creation of more articles and blog content for exclusive use of our Members.

- We continue to test and integrate tools for Traffic, more SEO Tools and more automated marketing tools including Social Networking applications.

- Continued commitment to speedy friendly Account and Technical Support.

- Continued updates to online Bootcamp Training Course for simplicity, understanding, Member graduation.

- Continued research and development of trusted Profit Partners so Members have even more products available for resale (more earning options).

- Ongoing pursuit of partnerships or agreements with related companies offering products and services that will benefit our Members, including exploration of purchase discounts.

- Development of new and updated marketing materials, landing pages, capture pages, ad examples.

- Continued Monitor Training and Sales Development under personalized supervision of Dr. Jeffrey Lant.

And much more is still in the research and planning stages that we are not ready to reveal at this time. Rest assured our daily commitment is to making your Worldprofit Membership so valuable that you can’t even think about giving it up!

The great secret of business success: The MORE you GIVE AWAY, the  richer you get!

Want to use your business to get rich?  Of course you do! Then why aren’t you giving away more?

Counter intuitive though this thought may appear, it contains the key truth of business success:  the more you GIVE AWAY, the richer you get!

How much did you give away yesterday?  How much the day before?

Right this minute, with the worldwide economy in the doldrums and likely to remain so for some time, millions of business owners are scratching their heads for ideas on how to spur crucial sales. All sorts of ideas, from the daft to the expensive, are being advanced.

Yet the solution to getting more sales is plain: Don’t just sell your customers something, dazzle them with everything you will give them in addition to the actual product or service they pay for.

Focus the customer on an absolutely stunning offer

Look at everything  you sold in the last few days. Were your customers buying products… or were they motivated by offers packed with additional benefits, benefits you were giving away as inducements to motivate faster sales?

In other words, did you make sales because you gave away one thing after another, which made purchasing the items in question an absolute no-brainer?

Start by brain storming what you can give away

Most businesses have NEVER made a systematic effort to determine just what they can give away to induce more sales faster. This, however, is key and must be done at once.

Go through every single product and service you offer. What can you give away:

* more of the product or service * free delivery * free shipping * discount coupons for future sales * a special limited time offer * service and support

Get the picture? Before you can fashion high-octane offers, you must develop a list of EVERYTHING you’ve got and can give away to motivate more present and future sales.

Study other people’s offers and give-aways

The great thing about being in business is that paying attention to what other businesses are doing (and not just competitors either) can benefit you every single day. Thus, wherever  you go, review what companies are doing to get  your business; can you use or adapt them to your business success?

Develop a “give-away” mentality.

Business, you have been told, is all about closing sales, in other words about “working” the customer. If you buy into this point of view, you’re in  for a lifetime of drudgery and hard work. STOP IT!

Instead, consider yourself in the business of crafting spectacular bonus offers that enable you to make sales the very easiest way: by so exciting customers about the freebies and great offers they get that they’ll do anything to get them! Doesn’t this sound a whole lot easier and more fun that “closing sales”?

Start today, review today, improve today

Right now you’re probably still trying to get your head around the concept that the more you give away the richer you’ll get. Fair enough. But don’t wait because of that to get started.

Today is the perfect day to start…  as well as the perfect day to review what occurred AND to make improvements (like giving away even more).

You see, as long as your objective is maximizing your wealth… you’re in the business of  increasing the amount you give away and enhancing customer motivation. “How to get thousands and thousands of responses to your blog

… and what to do when you get ‘em.”

Of course you already have a blog, right? You are, I mean, on the cutting edge of the Internet, yes?

Well, if you are still blog-less today is indeed your lucky day, because I am going to show you right here, right now how to use your blog to get not a few but a positive avalanche of the best prospect leads on earth. And the great thing is, you can start today, this very minute.

Now affirm and reaffirm this: when you’re in business, running a business blog, the objective is and always will be to generate terrific prospect leads… and follow them up to make money.

It’s easy to forget the objective when you’re publishing a blog which can all too easily be seized by the shear joy and vanity of seeing your name in print.  Folks, if you need lovin’ and crave adulation get a dog. They give unqualified affection. But don’t subvert the purpose of your blog.

Nothing sells itself, absolutely nothing.

I have amongst my marketing students some of the very brightest people around… and when they make a mistake, I know the pedestrian run of mankind and marketers are making it, too, in spades.

One of the most rooted errors of these folks is the pernicious, invidious notion that their blog and its contents will sell themselves; that what they are promoting and selling in their blogs needs no introduction, nor powerful words of recommendation; it’s good enough on its lonesome.

In a word: rubbish! In two words: complete rubbish!

Dear friend, there is nothing in this world, not the policies and messages of presidents, popes, and sovereign  kings; not the very finest example of the most potent of salubrious medications; not the safest swiftest modes of transportation…. absolutely nothing sells itself.

Once you have realized this essential truth of business, you enter a new,  higher level of commerce and marketing… for you are now a puffer in the Great Age of Puffery…. and your daily objective is clear: to puff better, more artfully, more carefully, more successfully than any other puffers on this planet.  He (or she) who puffs the most, the best, reaps the most.

Thus, say you intend tomorrow to publish a jim dandy article on some subject of note and significance. The duffer puffer, the one on the bottom of the marketing heap, merely publishes the article, with this unvoiced sentiment: “Here’s the article. Make of it what you will. I can’t be bothered to tell you why you should read it… perhaps I don’t even know.”

And some dare call this marketing.

Now, try this instead…

(puff the day before you publish the article.)

Tomorrow, you readers have an incredible gift coming. I persuaded internationally known author and commentator Dr. Jeffrey Lant to let me have, in advance of publication, his latest article. It details the truth about the relationship of Snow White with those with-it guys, the 7 Dwarfs. You won’t believe what one of the most perceptive commentators around has discovered about Snow… and those Dwarfs. Can you say ‘Happy.’ You certainly will tomorrow….”

With these fast-moving words, you are keeping your audience, your present and future customers all, on the very edge of their seats. You want them in a pother of anticipation and excitement about What Happens Next. You, cleverkins, are ascending in the crucial business of puffery; selling the sizzle, not the steak. And you’re frolicking all the way to the bank.

Remember, puffing is not something occasional or episodic. It is not merely one essential thing in marketing; it is the essential thing and it must be regarded accordingly… from this moment on. Let me make this point absolutely, crystal clear:

If you want to sell a product, you must puff it.

If you want to sell your service, you must puff it.

If you want a person to read your blog, you must puff it.

If you want that same person to read an article in that blog, you must puff it.

Get the picture?

A few more hints

Your puffs must appear prominently in your blog, at least 1 at the top of the first page.

They must be short, enticing, action oriented. They must radiate a single imperative message: Look at all  you get, look how delicious it is, grab it, grab it now…’

Here’s another example.

“Wow! I’m ecstatic to tell you that I’ve snagged another one of Dr. Lant’s superb articles. Yesterday nearly 400 of you smarties emailed me with your thanks, congratulations, and sincere appreciation for his last insightful article. Now I’ve got another for you. Stay tuned… you’ll have it in just HOURS. Make sure to email me at once with your reactions and compliments… it’s another winner!!! You can reach me by email (email address here); cell phone (number here)… or land line (number here.) And I want to hear from each and EVERY one of you!”

You must get on with the essential business of puffing each and every day, without exception, that you want money.

And, I guarantee you, that as you improve in your puffery, you will improve your prospect responses, dramatically.

And your bottom line? Why that will improve, too, and dramatically so if and only if you follow up each and every response, as quickly as possible, with a special offer. In other words, thank the respondents, thank them as soon as possible… and always give them a thing (or two) which makes you money.  Thus are you benefited as you benefit your fast-responding prospects.

There are many things, of course, which factor into consummate blog success. They include

* having good content, interesting, practical,  timely;

* publishing according to a schedule, never missing a deadline;

* writing directly to your readers, always using “you”;

* keeping every word of text short, peppy, upbeat,

* and, always and forever, every single day, puffing.

Because if you don’t puff, if you do not encourage, recommend, admonish, excite, and motivate you are leaving the crucial act of marketing in the hands of  those least able to discern for themselves what to do. That decision must be yours. You and only you must advance the necessary reasons for acting as you want them to act. That crucial aspect of marketing belongs to you… and you must do this every time you want results. Like today.

An appreciation for the life and more innocent times of Gladys Horton, Marvelettes lead singer, dead at 66.

The author has a true appreciation for the finer things in life.  Gladys Horton’s music brings back a lot of old school feelings and memories of when I lived in Atlanta, GA and thought that the  song “Don’t Mess with Bill” would have some control over my competition with the ladies for that special one, named Bill. Laughing Out Loud… It didn’t work, but the music still makes me smile.  – Cynthia McKelvy

Author’s note:  To get yourself in the mood for this article, go to any search engine and find some of the tunes of Gladys Horton and her Marvelettes, particularly Please Mr. Postman” or “Don’t Mess with Bill.” Kick off your shoes and remember Gladys Horton was all about a catchy rhythm and grooving at the soda shop with your main squeeze. Put on your head phones, close your eyes, and it’s 1961. Gladys Horton, just 15 years old, is on top of her game…

To think of Gladys Horton, you must first of all remember her times. Dwight David Eisenhower still cast his mantle of security over the nation, although as Gladys’ tunes hit the top of the Hot R & B/Hip-Hop Songs and the crucial Billboard Hot Singles, John F. Kennedy was getting himself nominated for President, spending daddy’s money lavishly.

It was a time when good girls were expected to fight for their virtue in a known ritual that left that virtue intact… and their boyfriends exhausted. Good girls did…. but only after securing a tangible token of the boyfriend’s affection. And it all occurred against a background of music, including that all important dance music… loud, raucous, catchy, blaring in every teenager’s life.

Denizens from those mellow years like to call them innocent, romantic, simpler… and  perhaps they were. But if you were a poor black girl from Inkster, Michigan they were anything but uncomplicated. For you had your way to make in the world with just your slender talent… and your one shot was a new record company situated on West Grand Boulevard in Detroit.

This was Motown, and though America didn’t quite know it yet, this was about to become the most important place in the world for teenagers everywhere. It was ground zero for that frustrating, elusive beat that Motown executives needed and which they became so very good at finding.

Gladys Horton, in 1961, was in the right place at the time right. And, right from the get-go, she was lucky. She came as part of a quintet… but though Motown eschewed groups of 5, ordaining that only groups of 3 were welcome…. this day they made an exception and allowed this larger-than-usual group to audition before Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson. Gordy was looking for his first Big Hit… and he had a feeling about these girls.

They passed this audition… and this break proved to be their  launching pad. So far… so good. A second audition was scheduled.

The second audition got down to the business of finding a song for the group now called the Marvels. Pianist William Garrett had a few ideas for a blues tune he titled “Please Mr. Postman.” It was unfinished, only a few words, no music. That didn’t matter. Motown was about to prove it knew the secret of spinning dreams (and money) from next to nothing. It’s what made them great. Gladys Horton (and Georgia Dobbins who wrote their first song, although Garrett got the credit) helped show them the way…

“Please Mr. Postman” was the result. It was sweet, it was snappy, it had the right “good girl” message… and most important of all, America’s teens could dance to it and let themselves go.

Gladys Horton and the soon-to-be-called Marvelettes began the high flying ride of their lives and, for this exceptional moment, they were living their dreams… while they relied on the unflagging energy that comes with youth… to show themselves to a nation that just couldn’t get enough of these peppy girls, their simple message, and that beat, that wonderful beat. “Please Mr. Postman” was their elevator to heaven and for a while, that wonderful while, it took Gladys and the Marvelettes where they all wanted to go: up!

That was the good news.

The bad news, although they wouldn’t know it for some time, was that that sweet little tune, their first record, was destined to be their most popular and biggest seller. In other words, the moment when life was sweetest would prove be a flicker, a tease. They had peaked… and they weren’t even 17.

Still, they didn’t know this yet and Berry Gordy and Motown remained committed to these girls… for a while. After all, they had delivered when he needed a  hit and needed it Now.  And so, in due course, there were 21 Hot R & B/Hip-Hop Songs and 23 Billboard Hot 100 hit singles. Of these hits 3 were Top 10 Pop singles, 9 were Top 10 R & B singles; their debut was #1 on both charts.

It was good… but it wasn’t quite good enough. And, besides, there were the usual cat fights, personnel problems, and mistakes, including an embarrassing gaffe on American Bandstand in 1962.

None of this would have mattered had the girls had Talent, that elusive je ne sais quoi that no one can quite define… but which we all know when we see it.

A girl named Diana Ross had it… Gladys Horton didn’t, quite. But without Gladys Horton and the 6 other girls who, at one time or another, were members of the Marvelettes, there might not have been a Diana Ross. Berry Gordy, after all, cut his teeth on them… Katherine Anderson, Wanda Rogers, Anne Bogan, Georgeanna Tillman, Juanita Cowart, Georgia Dobbins…. and Gladys Horton. They helped build a great empire that transformed American culture at a time of American greatness. Moreover, when all is said and done, they had a longer and more fruitful run than most of these fragile, evanescent girl groups and their boy group counterparts.

Now Gladys Horton is dead too soon of  a stroke, January 26, 2011, aged just 66. But (some of) her music will live on. My favorite is “Too many fish in the sea.” (Released 1962). It has legs… look it up… and dance! You won’t be able to help yourself; your toes will tap…the true legacy of the Marvelettes… and Gladys Horton.

I read this article by Dr. Lant and it reminds me that we are at the crossroads of yet another important political issue.
As he points out, “don’t ask, don’t tell” has basically become “who cares”! As a minister of the gospel, I where the bible
stands on the issue and  ask, why punish gays and not punish those who commit adultery? Senator McCain, Why not exclude

by Dr. Jeffrey Lant you will be forced to think clearly about the issue and the opposition.

To be blunt, Senator John  McCain (R-Arizona) is making a fool of himself around the issue of gays in the military. His comments before  the Senate Armed Services Committee the last few days have been an embarrassment, to himself and to the nation. In brief, his argument goes like this: ‘We don’t want ‘em, we don’t want ‘em, we don’t want ‘em, see?’

McCain, of course, is on the wrong side of what is rapidly becoming a total and complete non-issue. As McCain should know (though he was a notoriously lazy student) the tides of history are determinant. And history is rapidly wrapping up the details on this issue.

Gays will serve in the military (as they always have from the time of the first army on this planet).

Gays will deliver good service. Many will be wounded. Many will die. Some will be dismissed… but dismissed for poor service, not bedroom gymnastics.

Gays will marry their same-sex partners in weddings which will feature snazzy uniforms and an arch of sabres. One day one such veteran will be Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff… and she and her partner will get an engraved silver salver from the president on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. They may even be designated the “People of the Year” by Time Magazine. Stranger things have happened.

Any sensible person can read these tea leaves. They are clear, certain, irrefutable.

So, why is Senator McCain so adamant? There is surely something going on here, something more than meets the eye. Could it be this….

When Senator McCain gets in his car to go home at night, is he brainstorming ways to defend his outmoded views? Is he coming up with good reasons for obstructing from active service patriotic Americans merely because they choose to love in their own way?

Is he finding the defense he needs to justify why the military spends millions of dollars on television ads, telling fine, young Americans the services want them… then tossing them out because of their genetic orientation?

In short, is the senator thinking of how to defend opinions most of his fellow countrymen regard as antiquated and embarrassing?

Or is he visualizing, tormented, the lithe young bodies from every service locked together closer than Rodin’s classic statue, “The Kiss”? Titillated, revolted, is John McCain wrestling with his own demons?

What did happen in the Hanoi Hilton all those many years ago when the handsome young McCain, not yet a hero or presidential candidate, was thrown together with other young prisoners all with normal appetites and no “suitable” way to satisfy them? No one has ever asked the Senator… no one ever will; he’ll go to his grave without comment, with a vow of unbreakable silence.

Perhaps this speculation is unfair… but one must ask why he is so vehement about an issue whose inevitabilities are clear and in which there is absolutely no benefit for McCain or America in his remarks. In short, is this the politics of the personal, a man wrestling with suddenly insistent, unsettling memories? I cannot say, but the question for a public servant whose views impact both on those worldwide who are serving and who wish to serve, is most pertinent.

McCain vs the military establishment

The president is in an uncomfortable corner and has worked the senior military establishment to get out of it. Obama probably got 94% of the gay vote and in these meager days he and the Democratic Party wish to keep these absolutely essential voters who have repeal as their price.

So the president has made it clear to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the secretary of defense, the general who commands the army in Europe and the Pentagon’s general counsel that “don’t ask” must go… and swiftly so.

Thus McCain found himself, though one of the senators with the very closest military ties, arguing the matter publicly, tersely, tensely, with all his particular buddies, these military poobahs. They might be opposed to the coming policy, but they are military men and they will follow orders and complain quietly, while saying “yes sir.”

And McCain? “I remain concerned as I have been in the past, and as demonstrated in this study, that the closer we get to service members in combat, the more we encounter concerns about whether ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ should be repealed.”

The senator referenced a new Pentagon survey of 115,000 active-duty and reserve service members. This survey found that 70 percent believed the impact of “don’t ask” on their units would be positive, mixed, or of no consequence. In other words, the movement has gone from “don’t ask, don’t tell” to “who cares”? As is right and proper. McCain, however, cites the 30 percent opposed and stakes his case, wrongly, on them. He is now the champion of a discriminatory policy whose time has come, and gone.  There is nothing missing in this Arizona version of Don Quixote, the man who dreams his impossible dream.

A hint why McCain’s archaic position is moribund

In today’s Boston Globe (12/3/10) there is a brave little letter from 19 year old Joshua Rogers, of Taunton, Massachusetts, a gritty town of better days. Joshua and his words are why McCain will lose on this issue, so pivotal for Joshua… so embarrassing and, yes, silly for McCain.

Joshua, determined to stand by his man, writes: ‘I am gay. I have survived through torture, hate, bias, and oppression. .. My boyfriend is in the ROTC, and plans to pursue a military career. I have accepted this, but not the pain that I would be forced to go through if I won’t be able to visit him, talk to him, hug him, be with him.’

‘If we have to hide everything, just so he can pursue something he believes in for everyone he wishes to protect, it would be truly disappointing.’

Joshua, it would be far worse than a disappointment for you… it would be a palpable diminution of our national freedoms and traditions. However, Joshua,  consider this: you are the future… you and all the good people of this great nation who to defend their liberties must defend yours. Senator McCain, once a hero of these liberties, now works hard to diminish them. That’s why you, Joshua, and not Senator McCain are the hero today.

Beware of any ‘business’ that relies on recruiting family and friends for your success!

It all sounded so good.

Incredible earnings potential!

Work at home!

Big profits in your spare time!

Yours, all yours, if  you only recruit a few family members and friends… who would then recruit a few family members and friends… who would then recruit a few family members and friends.

Easy! Get started today! Just pay a monthly fee and stockpile a few “they sell themselves”" products… and all those eye-popping benefits (and the money you so need) would be yours.

Unfortunately…  it all went wrong, so terribly wrong and in such a short time, too.

No money!

No snug business producing guaranteed extra income!

And family members and friends angry at you for involving and misleading them, with collateral damage for years to come.

What went wrong? (You may be asking, “Why is my prospecting and recruiting failing?”)

“Warm marketing” is the culprit!

Consider any company you know from major household brand names to local “mom and pop” operations. Do these companies reply on their family and friends to prosper? Certainly not. In fact, the question is absurd. These enterprises, every one of these enterprises, relies on the quality of their goods and customer service — and their own never-ending marketing efforts — to attract people to their stores and develop long-term relationships.  If you asked such business owners if they were relying on their family and friends to get by, they’d dismiss the notion in a minute as ludicrous.

And so should you!

Why “warm marketing” doesn’t work

Warm marketing is based on the proposition that people know people and that by everyone doing a little bit of presentation and recruitment, everyone benefits. Nice idea.

Unfortunately, it has as many holes as swiss cheese.

The premise of “warm marketing” is that people will buy whatever you’re selling because they know you, and you ask them. By contrast, in real businesses people buy not because of their personal connection, but because of their need for the product, the eye-catching selection of what you have available, and the particular motivating offer you’re making. Selling to their parents and best friends is most assuredly NOT the basis of their success!!!

So, who benefits from “warm marketing” then?

The parent company — and no one else.

Does the opportunity charge you a fee for joining and/or a monthly “membership” fee. Bingo! They’re making money off you…. even if you never make a penny.

Does the opportunity require that you buy a certain amount of product every month? Bingo! They’re making money off of you … even if you never make a penny.

Does the opportunity require that you maintain a certain level of sales to get paid? Bingo! They’re making money off of you … even if you never make a penny.

Let’s be very clear: their objective is to make a profit for the company. Whether you make one or not is never their concern.

What companies relying on “warm marketing” never offer:

ALL businesses, warm or otherwise, need a steady flow of prospect leads. Regular companies master the art of lead generation early… or they go out of business fast.

Warm marketing companies don’t spend a nickle instructing you on marketing mastery. No need! Instead, they just hand you a prospect script and tell you to call all your family and friends ASAP, since that’s the sure-fire way to success.

WRONG!

Real companies that have dealer programs bend over backwards to accommodate your need for prospects and to help you educate and close these prospects.

The better the company, the more focused they are on your success, the more you can expect them to provide, such as

It will also enable you to continue your search to find the best opportunities… those  which eschew “warm marketing” altogether, and rightly so!

Reviewing the CB CASH GRENADE: A backwards system to wealth!

While you were doing whatever you were doing, since the last time you read my blog,   I was reviewing the most awesome Internet business model that I have ever found! CB Cash Grenade!

I have been working my ass off jumping from Guru to Guru, making a buck here, and making a killing there, then losing my ass for a couple of weeks, trying and failing.

But, then this course comes across my desk!

It’s like back when I was struggling with my weight, finding “Stop The Insanity”, only this is for making me money, and as a bonus, there’s no crazy looking bald woman (Susan Powter) shaking her fist, and yelling!

The very first thing that drew me to this system was how it stopped telling me I could get rich quick, and asked me to assess my life and figure out what I really needed financially, to achieve security and happiness.

Then this system promised me, that it could show me how to achieve that goal.

It’s been a long time since I set goals that way.

Let me show you what that does…

In this online business world, you tend to think that you need to be making a killing all the time, before another Dot-Com bust happens again.

You almost forget the people who are really killing it on a consistent basis are the ones you look up to, and want to emulate, because they have been around for a while.

You start to realize then, that they haven’t been jumping from one half-baked get rich quick scheme to another.

They have just been plugging away, building, and perfecting their system.

The second thing that drew me to this CB Cash Grenade was the way they laid out the system.

I instantly knew it would work, because some of the tactics I had already partially used before.

Only this system put them together into one cohesive plan, and filled in the holes I’d been missing.

Yes, this system taught me some new cutting-edge stuff I hadn’t tried before. But they never showed me anything that I couldn’t fully understand or told me to do something, just on faith in some Guru.

What kind of new cutting-edge stuff?

Well in Module 4, they showed me tons of ways to use and find keyword information

(That I had been paying money to find out), for free and they showed me some information sources that I didn’t even know existed.

This Module really showed me the sweet spot I’ve been looking for, when it comes to deciding whether a keyword is to hot (too much competition) or not worth the effort of pursuing.

Moreover, it gets down to the reality that you need to decide your keywords by first deciding the amount of juice you are able and willing to invest in them.

Not the other way around!

It exposed why so many other keyword-picking strategies work as good as spinning a blindfolded a kid around, with a donkey tail in his hand.

You can’t have someone tell you that you should only go for this or that keyword because that’s only as good as “their system” is good for, and still be a solid business.

You need to be shown how to pick keywords that you’re ready to shoot for and what you need to do before you’re ready to aim higher!

Then also, in module four, they give you insight into how you can spy on the behind scenes advertising budgets of your competition!

You can find out who they are, how much they are spending and what they are spending it on!

This is worth the price of the package, and we are not even a third of the way through!

Module 5, shows you how to find high profiting products.

It’s not the products that cost the most and not always the ones you’d expect!

If you don’t have a good profiting product, then why bother trying to sell it in the first place!

This is what I love about this program, because it’s not set up to sell one product.

It’s set up to sell any product you want, while also giving you the information to pick the best from the litter!

Module 6 shows you how to make better offers by figuring out the deepest desires of your potential customer.

It’s all about understanding demographics!

Demographic research, it is as simple as this!

Dodge Ram makes a damn fine truck, but you’ll never sell it to my grandma!

But, give her a Cadillac to test drive, and you’ll be celebrating one hell of a commission check.

So stop wasting your time and money promoting the right product to the wrong person, when this Module will show you where and how, to find out what kind people are looking for your profitable product, instead of trying to boost my grandma up by the buns, into what she thinks is a red-neck 4X4.

By the end of that Module I knew, what they wanted, I knew where they hung out online, I knew how much money they had to spend, and what kind of jargon they used to speak to people they trusted.

Now, the best way I can describe Module 7 is by quoting a line from the course, which was the most memorable to me. It is explaining the kind of list you’ll be building with this system.

“And you are, going to market to them until they BUY, DIE, or Unsubscribe!”

Rest assured though, using the tactics in this module, the first two are much more likely!

Module 8 shows you how to make one article do as much work for you as ten, maybe even more than that.

So, if you don’t want to write until your fingers fall off, then you might like this module.

Module 9 this gives you the magnetic power to keep people near you on your list.

It shows you why people will actually open your emails by following this system and why they won’t unsubscribe.

Unless you’re a UNIX rebel, tell me, when was the last time you didn’t open an email from Microsoft?

You could be THAT IMPORTANT to your list, whatever the niche!

Module 10, the Video Explosion one, is freaking sweet.

Google anything right now!

(Even, if you need to stop reading my blog!)

What do you see on the front page?

You probably see some heavy hitting sites, that people have invested a fortune on, and taken years building.

Oh yeah, you’ll also see some YouTube video’s that were made last week.

Is it fair that the YouTube video pushed someone off the front page of Google who has spent the last ten years and two life’s worth of savings on SEO, to get on page one?

Stop whining about what’s not fair, and use this module to get your video on page one and a link to your squeeze page just one click away!

It’s easy right now; you just need to know how!

Module 11 shows you exactly what you didn’t know about using the demographic research that you didn’t have, before you watched this system. (Enough Said)

Module 12 I’m going to leave as a surprise to you now because it’s such a big part of this program, I could have written a whole blog post about it, alone.

It’s different from the rest of the system and sort of an inside bonus that you’ll just have to discover for yourself when you get to it. (I don’t recommend skipping to it as soon as you get access.)

Lucky Module 13 showed me a completely new way to target people with paid advertisements using keywords that I’d never thought of, in ways that I’d never dreamed.

It all has to do with your ability to buy advertising that will only show up inside your target audiences Gmail account, and only while they are reading a specific email.

This means you “don’t hardly” spend any money on keywords, but your ad is going to be right there, giving solutions to real people, who are actually reading an email about the problem you can actually solve!

Solving problems is how you make friends for life!

You can even target your competitors name as a keyword, with this program!

So if they think your competitor may have the solution you get a chance to say, “Hold on! Try Me First!” exactly at the moment they are talking about finding a solution, and they are seeking information to take action.

Module 14 teaches you how to buy advertising, without being taken!

It seems absurd that a savvy marketer who sells products for a living needs to learn about advertising methods from reading advertising material on the site selling advertising!

But frankly that’s how most people decide how to spend their advertising dollar!

Sifting through what works and what doesn’t is hard!

This is why so many people just use Google Adwords; they just assume it’s a good deal because the “Advertising” material for Google Adwords is everywhere!

But is it as good as the ads say it is?

Find out if you can do better, using the tactics in Module 14!

The final module ties it all together!

It shows you how you can fill in the holes and get rolling.

This final module proves to newbies and pros alike that there is no excuse for not getting this system to work!

Recognizing and celebrating your company’s unsung heroes by Dr. Jeffrey Lant

Right now in your company there are “unsung heroes”

whose quiet dedication and, yes, devotion are keeping

you in business.

These are the people who
* don’t complain
* are present for work on time
* gladly help out as necessary
* are selfless and always focused on the good of the
business and its employees.

Every business has such people.

Every business relies on them.

Unfortunately, these fortunate businesses often
take such jewels for granted. That will never do.

1) Identify the “unsung heroes” of your company.

The better you know your employees, the easier
selecting your “unsung heroes” will be. When you
come to think about it, you’ll know right away who
has done much for you and is deserving of special
recognition.

2) Have a classy recognition event.

Bringing in a couple of pizzas and saying some
nice words about the employee/s in question may
be ok for ordinary “thanks”, but when an “unsung hero” is
being celebrated that is most assuredly not good enough.

3) Say it with silver

For hundreds of years, important occasions have been
celebrated by the presentation of silver objects. Why?
Because silver represents value, permanence, and
something splendid to show family and friends.

Such objects must ALWAYS be sterling (not plate) and
must ALWAYS feature a celebratory inscription:

“For (name) for exemplary service since (date).
From your friends and colleagues at (name of company.)
(date of presentation.)

4) Include a check

Whenever possible, you should also present your “unsung hero”
with a check for at least $1000. Remember, you are recognizing
one of the keys to your success. Reward this valuable person
accordingly.

5) Hold a recognition event

Remember, for the person you are honoring, whatever you
do will quite probably be unique in her life. Thus, if you do
the thing, do the thing right. This means holding some kind of
recognition event. In our busy times, luncheons are recommended.

Have it at a local restaurant with a function room. Make sure to
get your hero’s name on the facility’s calendar of events .

6) Invite your hero’s family and friends

Again, remember that this event will quite probably be
unique in your hero’s life. Thus, make it a point to invite
family and friends to attend. Let them see in what regard
you hold the honoree.

7) Get the day declared in her honor

Every public official from the President of the United
States down has the ability to help you recognize your
“unsung hero.” How?

At least 30 days before the event send a letter to

* the governor of your state, or

* the mayor of your town, or

* your state representative or state senator.

All of them have resplendent certificates readily available
into which they can insert wording provided by you.
If you ask them to attend your event to present the
certificate themselves, they may well do so! This
provides an extra level of importance.

Note: if the service of your “unsung hero” has been
particularly noteworthy, do not hesitate to write the
president. You may well get a telegram or letter or, even,
(it happens) a phone call from the president himself…
and that would surely make your event notable!

8) Take lots of pictures. Post them on your website.

This is the moment for all shutterbugs. The more
pictures you take, the better. Post them prominently on
your website.

9) Deliver heartfelt, gracious, sincere remarks.
Don’t stint on the compliments.

Talk from the heart about this person and what she
has done. Remember, she has been one of the reasons
for your success. Now is the moment to say so with
grace, felicity and warmth. Be sure to record your
words and give these, too, to your star.)

Last Words

We all mean to take the time and trouble to publicly
thank and honor the good folks who keep our company
going. But life has a way of getting away from us. That’s
why you need to make honoring your heroes a matter
of priority and importance. They have served you well.
Now do what is called for to recognize them for all their
services. It is right and proper.

How many times have you heard that phrase, pitch, advertisement, or
whatever? Lots, I’m sure. It is used so much because marketers know that staying home and making money is the fondest dream of millions of people.

And why not? Did you know that the majority of fatal heart attacks happen at 9 a.m. Monday morning? It’s true. It seems a lot of people would rather die than get back to the old grind after a weekend of freedom.

So when someone offers an opportunity or plan for you to take your job and shove it, yet still make enough money to live and pay all your bills, it sounds blissfully irresistible.

Of course, bliss and reality are always two different things. Is it
really possible to run a business from your own home that is more than a hobby or source of part-time income? Can you get rich working out of your own home? Can you really trade your cubical and necktie for blue jeans and the comfort of your own den?

Well, for your information, home-based businesses are one of the fastest growing kinds of enterprises in America today. As this is being written, some 40 million Americans are doing at least some form of work out of their homes, and the numbers are rising rapidly. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, as many as 70 million people will be working out of their homes by the year 2010. Government studies have indicated that as much as 75% of all work done in this country could eventually be moved home.

The overwhelming majority of home workers, however, are not exactly getting rich. The average work-at-home American earns less than $15,000 per year. That may not be bad as a supplement to a spouse’s full-time income, but let’s face it, fifteen grand in and of itself is not much better than poverty.

As master marketer and author Dr. Jeffrey Lant said: “Frankly, I never saw any benefit to staying home and being poor.”

1. It Takes Commitment

Is it any secret in America that most people detest their jobs? Study
after study proves that most people simply dread going to work Monday
morning, and they live for the freedom of the weekend. But even that
freedom is not pure because we know that it is only temporary. It’s hard to enjoy a Sunday evening when the Monday morning alarm clock is just a few hours away.

It makes sense that people hate their jobs. Everyday, there is a lot of butt kissing that needs to be done. There are endless meetings which usually accomplish nothing. There are pointless interruptions, a lot of drifting this way and that, and lot of idiot supervisors who do nothing but waste your time and then dog you for not accomplishing your share of work. There are co-workers you hate, and who would stab you in the back in a minute if it meant a raise for them instead of you.

When you work for someone else, you live a regimented life. Your body may not want to get up at 7 a.m., but you have to be at work by 8 a.m. so you lurch out of bed with a head full of sleep.

People who choose to work at home are doing more than just escaping the yoke of their master; they have made a deep, firm, life-altering decision which says that health, happiness and prosperity depend vitally on the freedom to work for ourselves, and in doing so in the comfort of the home.

We want to really emphasize that fact that to be successful in a
work-at-home situation, you have to be nothing less than a fanatic; a
zealot, who is utterly committed to making work-at-home not only a
successful venture, but a profound commitment for life. You must be
convinced that a return to an outside office job would be the equivalent of a spiritual death sentence.

Many people hate their office jobs, but they have made an inner compromise with themselves. They have convinced themselves that their job is “not so bad,” pays the bills, and that they can stick out because they have to.

If you want to be truly successful at quitting your day job, there cannot be any room for such compromises in your soul. You have to take the attitude that to work any longer at your hateful job is akin to fouling
your inner being with a spiritual cancer the will sicken and kill you.

2. Eliminating the Home-Office Mentality

To move our work home, however, does not mean we eliminate every single thing about the traditional American office. Rather, we should select what is useful and what is not.

It’s a mistake to quit your job and go home with a “home-office” mentality. By this we mean thinking small, and believing that you will automatically sacrifice a decent income in exchange for your freedom. Please! Do not think small!

To quote Jeffrey Lant again: “Too many home-based practitioners fail to understand the benefits that accrue because of the professional style they have selected. They focus on the “home” part of the business rather than the “business” portion, and as a result are doomed to small incomes.” Working at home provides many benefits. We can save a lot of time because we don’t need to commute and we have more control over our schedule. We can save a lot of costs because we don’t have the overhead requirements of larger businesses. We can cut our stress — and so have more energy — because we avoid many of the characteristic problems of life in the late 20th-Century office. We must work these advantages to our profit.

3. Your International Headquarters

The German philosopher Immanuel Kant said that if you sit at home alone at your empty kitchen table, eventually, the “whole world will come to you.”

Well, today you don’t need the great mind of a philosopher to make the
entire world come into your living room. What you need is a phone jack.

We live in a unique time in history. Satellites, fiber optics, the
integrated circuit and other communications miracles means that you can be just about anywhere in the developed world and establish communication with anyone.

The telephone, the fax machine, the computer, the modem — all of these are not only affordable by any middle-class citizen; they are the key to eliminating your need to drive a hectic freeway everyday to get to a place of business outside your home.

With these devices at our disposal, we should allow ourselves to “think globally.” Too often, home-based businesses focus on the narrowest market, the neighborhood, the county, the city or state. This is fine if you are providing a local service and are content with a certain moderate level of income. But if you want the big bucks, you should not think small. Also,you should not believe that, just because you are home-based, you cannot compete with the big guys.

The purpose of any business is to seek assess and seek out every possible market for its products and services, to ascertain whether these markets have the ability to buy these products/services, to determine whether there is sufficient profit in these markets to warrant approaching them, and, once positive assessment has been made, to launch a sustained marketing campaign that gets a significant percentage of this market to purchase the product or service in question.

Your home telecommunications machines will not only enable you to do this, but they can also help you overwhelm larger, more cumbersome traditional businesses that are your competition.

As a home-based entrepreneur, you will not have all of the disadvantages of your more traditional competitors: no office rent, equipment or expense; no employees to pay salaries and fringe benefits for; no time wasted on meetings, employee problems, paid sick leave, etc.

All the money your competitors spend on heating the office and buying
furniture could better be spent on the actual marketing itself.

As a home-based business, you will be already positioned where the
traditional business is currently struggling to move: toward the lowest possible overhead and the greatest possible concentration of dollars on products/service development and product/service marketing.

So, a home-based business takes full advantage of three major goals of
modern business success:

(1) Vastly reduced overhead
(2) Easy access to a global market
(3) Full advantage of telecommunications.

To not have the basic telecommunications toys — computer, modem, fax, and telephones is impossibly stupid. Still, even in this day and age, many of people strongly resist the one element that is undoubtedly the heart and brain of any successful home business — the computer. The computer is so important in fact, we have made it a category all itself.

And remember, learning to use a modern computer is easier than learning to drive a car, so you have no excuse not to plunge forward.

4. The Computer

You should pay close attention to what computers can do for you in your plans to escape your job and make your work-at-home dreams come true.

People who want to run a home business usually have a very small staff — in fact, a staff of one — yourself! The rest of your needs are handled by independent contractors, depending on the kind of business you are in and the services you need.

To run a serious, truly global home business, a computer is as necessary as oxygen is to life on earth. Those who try to fool themselves into thinking they will ever make a serious go of their home-based business without a computer are sadly mistaken.

Computers give you two primary advantages:

(1) They enable you to store large amounts of data and to sort by data
field so that you can easily get the information you need.

(2) They enable you to develop a pattern document for every situation
you’ll ever be in in your business. To run a home-based business
successfully, you must anticipate just what situation will emerge and
prepare accordingly.

A business is based on a characteristic series of situations and a
characteristic set of things that happen — or that do not happen. You
must be prepared with the proper document for each situation. Once you
have established all the protocols, and have experienced all the situations associated with your kind of business, the time will come when running your business is, in large part, a repetition of certain key tasks. Computers are all about handling repetition swiftly and efficiently.

But the computer is much more. Today, by connecting a computer to the
phone line with a modem, your machine becomes more than a data storage
system and repetitive task handler. It becomes a multi-task, multi-level communications processing center that connects you to the globe.

Such things as e-mail, on-line services, the Internet, the Web and more can’t help but revolutionize the way business is done. If you do not become a part of it today, you certainly are going to suffer for it greatly in the near future.

If there is an effective way to market products on the Internet or any
other on-line venue, no one has truly discovered it yet. The only people making money on Internet marketing are the people who are selling the concept of doing it. If you have a product or a service and expect to reach millions of buyers through computer screens, you are sadly mistaken.

The Internet is definitely where a lot of innovative things are happening. It’s a great place to exchange ideas, find out what hot, what’s not, and stay on the cutting edge whatever your particular business is.

5. Your Business Hours

If you’ve been paying attention to the first four points, you’re well on your way to becoming a successful home-based business owner. Now we don’t want you to blow it by thinking you can keep banker’s hours.

The global market is a 24-hour per day market, and a 365-day per year
market. Let the others sleep late on Saturdays and take Sundays off.
Those times could be your day to move and corner loads of customers that the others miss.

You should get up earlier and quit work later. You should be open for
business on holidays and be available 24-hours a day either personally or through your answering service.

“But wait a minute!” you might be thinking at this point! “I thought that working at home was all about freedom and an end to drudgery. This sounds like nothing but endless work!”

Well, here’s the thing. For most of you who quit your regular jobs to go to work for yourself, you’ll discover something magical. You’ll discover that when you are working for yourself, when you are building your own business, a lot of what you does not seem like work at all.

Running your own business is all about being inspired 24-hours-a-day. When you stop selling your body and soul to some company or corporation and start giving your energy to yourself, work has a way of turning into inspiration and play.
